Steam Method

01

Boil Water

Bring water to a rolling boil in a pot large enough to hold your steamer basket.

02

Arrange Dumplings

Place dumplings in a lined steamer basket, ensuring to leave a small gap between dumplings so they don't stick.

03

Steam

Cover and steam for 10–12 minutes. Dumplings are done when the dough is translucent and slightly golden.

04

Plate & Sauce

Arrange dumplings on the plate. Pour tomato sauce over the dumplings, then pour garlic yogurt on top. Finish with dried mint.

Pro Tip

Traditionally served with garlic yogurt and dried mint. Both sauces go on top of the dumplings — tomato sauce first, then the garlic yogurt poured over.

Quick Option

Microwave Method

01

Arrange

Place dumplings on a microwave-safe plate in a single layer.

02

Cover

Cover with a damp paper towel to retain moisture and prevent drying.

03

Heat & Serve

Microwave on high for 2–3 minutes. Pour tomato and yogurt sauces on the dumplings and serve immediately.

Sauce Pairing

The sauces are part of the dish.

Mantu is never served without its sauces. Both are included in every bag — don't skip them. They transform the dumplings from good to unforgettable.

Garlic Yogurt (White Sauce)

Creamy, tangy, and cooling. Poured over the top of the dumplings to finish.

Tomato Sauce (Red Sauce)

Savory, spiced, and warming. Poured over the top of the dumplings to finish.

How it should look when done

The dough should be slightly translucent with a golden tinge. The dumplings should hold their shape — not soggy, not dry. The garlic yogurt and tomato sauce spread evenly across the dumplings, with dried mint scattered over the top.
